Caddo Lake Guide Fishing Report Detail Date: April 29, 2006 Best Method: pitching Best Depth: 2-3 Best Lure: soft plstics Best Color: dark Water Temp: 70 Water Clarity: stain Report: The big fish really turned on today during the storm. There was a tournament on the lake and it took 18lbs. just to get a check. Most of the fish were caught on soft plastics, with few coming on spinnerbaits and crankbaits. About the only areas that you could fish, (due to the 30mph. wind) was "Bird Island", "Green Brake" and the northen side of "Sand Island". This is were 80% of the fisherman were. These areas, have been producing large bass for most of the year. So if you get a chance to hit the lake, you surely want to try these spots.Good Luck and Great Fishing!!!!! return to report list
